Once a post type is enabled, a Featured Video box appears in the editor sidebar. The video then shows wherever your theme displays the featured image.
Add a self-hosted video
- Open a post or page and find the Featured Video box in the sidebar.
- Under Please select a video source, choose Self.
- Click Upload Video and pick a video from the Media Library, or upload a new one.
- Optional: click Set Poster Image to choose the image shown before the video plays.
- Save or update the post.
Make a video with Video Studio
No video yet? Click Create with Video Studio in the Featured Video box to auto generate one from a template, filled from the post. See Auto generate featured videos with Video Studio.
Add an embedded video
- In the Featured Video box, choose Embed.
- Paste the video link into the URL field.
- Save or update the post.

Links from other services are not accepted.
Remove a video
For a self-hosted video, click Remove Video. For an embed, clear the URL field. Then save the post.
Where the video shows
The video replaces the featured image in your theme. Two settings under JetixWP → Featured Video → Global control blog pages. Both are on by default.
- Show videos at Blog, Category and Tag archives
- Show videos at Blog single posts
Player options such as autoplay, loop, and mute apply to all videos. See Player controls and autoplay on hover.
