Requirements
- WordPress 6.0 or newer
- PHP 8.0 or newer
Install the plugin
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin.
- Search for Really Simple Featured Audio.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
Find the settings
The plugin adds a JetixWP menu to your admin sidebar:
- JetixWP → Featured Audio holds all plugin settings.
- JetixWP → Audio Tools is where you manage audio, bulk upload, and view analytics.
Choose where featured audio appears
- Go to JetixWP → Featured Audio → General.
- Under Enable Post Types Support, tick each post type that should have featured audio.
- Click Save changes.
Posts are enabled by default. Products are also enabled by default when WooCommerce is active. Only post types that support featured images are listed.
Updating from an older version
Your audio and settings carry over. Analytics is new in 1.6.0 and stays off on sites that already used the plugin. Turn it on under JetixWP → Featured Audio → Analytics. See Audio analytics.
Roll back to an earlier version
If an update causes problems, open JetixWP → Featured Audio → Rollbacks. Under Rollback RSFA, pick a version and click Reinstall this version. This needs an administrator account.
