The player
Every featured audio uses the same built-in player. It includes:
- Play and pause, a seek bar, and the current time
- Skip back and forward 10 seconds
- Playback speed from 0.5x to 1.5x
- Volume and mute, under the more controls button
- The cover image, post title, and author name
- Light and dark styles that follow the visitor’s device setting
Starting one player pauses any other player on the page.
Standard controls
Go to JetixWP → Featured Audio → Controls. Pick options separately for Self-hosted audios and Embed audios, then click Save changes. They apply to every featured audio, including WooCommerce products.

The Controls option only changes the preview in the editor. The player on your site always shows its controls.
Browsers block sound until the visitor interacts with the page, so autoplay waits for their first click. With several players on one page, only one of them autoplays.
Play on hover
Plays the audio while the pointer is over the player, and pauses it when the pointer leaves. Once the visitor clicks the player, hover stops controlling it. Hover plays are not counted as plays in analytics.
- On the Controls tab, open Play on Hover.
- Tick Enable Feature.
- Under Audio Types, choose Self Hosted, Embed, or both.
- Click Save changes.
Audio plays with sound unless Mute sound is on. Browsers may block sound until the visitor has clicked somewhere on the page.
